An AI voice company known for realistic speech synthesis and highly accurate transcription.
ElevenLabs builds AI for voice in both directions. It became widely known for text-to-speech that sounds convincingly human, including voice cloning from short samples, and it is behind a lot of the AI narration you now hear in audiobooks, videos and dubbing.
It also runs Scribe, a transcription model that regularly tops independent accuracy rankings, ahead of offerings from Google and OpenAI. The voice cloning side has drawn the obvious criticism, since a technology that copies a voice from a short clip is equally useful for impersonation, and the company has added consent and detection measures in response.
