Forcepoint
A cybersecurity company whose X-Labs research team studies attacks on AI systems.
Forcepoint sells data security software to companies, the kind of product that watches where sensitive files go and stops them leaving. Its research arm, X-Labs, publishes findings from the email and web traffic the company filters, which gives it an unusually direct view of what attackers are actually trying.
X-Labs has become a regular source on prompt injection, the trick of hiding instructions inside content an AI reads. It has documented injection payloads found on live websites and, in August 2026, published a controlled experiment in which invisible text inside an email hijacked an AI summarizer in all ten test runs. As with any vendor research, the findings are worth reading alongside the fact that the company sells the defence.
