LiveKit
A company whose open-source tools carry live audio and video, widely used to build real-time voice assistants.
LiveKit makes software that moves live audio and video between people and programs with very little delay. That is the plumbing behind video calls, and increasingly behind AI voice assistants that must hear you and answer without awkward pauses.
Developers use it so they do not have to build real-time streaming themselves. When a voice product says it is “built on LiveKit,” it means this streaming layer sits underneath.
