Lovable
A Stockholm startup that turns plain-language descriptions into working websites and apps.
Lovable is Europe’s best known vibe coding platform. You describe the website or app you want in ordinary language, and Lovable writes and hosts the actual software for you. It launched commercially in November 2024 and grew fast: by August 2026 the company said people had built more than 60 million projects on it, and that apps made with Lovable draw over 900 million visits a month.
The money followed. In August 2026 Lovable raised 400 million dollars at a valuation of 13.3 billion, roughly double what it was worth eight months earlier, in a round co-led by Menlo Ventures and an EU-backed European investment fund. That makes it one of the most valuable private technology companies in Europe and a rare case where an American-dominated AI category has a serious European contender.
