Lyria
Google's family of AI models for generating music from text descriptions.
Lyria is Google’s music generation model. You describe what you want, a mood, a genre, an instrument, sometimes lyrics, and it produces a finished track with vocals and instrumentation. It is available through Google Flow Music, and recent versions can generate pieces from thirty seconds to a few minutes long.
The interesting development in Lyria 3.5 is editability: rather than regenerating a whole song when one section is wrong, you can repaint just that part. Like every commercial music generator, Lyria carries an open question about training data. Google has said it used material it had the right to use under its terms of service and partner agreements, without going into specifics.
