Sora is OpenAI’s video generator: describe a scene in words and it produces a short clip. It helped set off the current wave of convincing AI video, and with it the harder questions about telling real footage from synthetic.

Those questions are why tools to detect AI-generated video, like the one Nvidia has worked on, are developing in parallel. The better the generators get, the more the ability to spot their output matters.
