YouGov

A British market research firm that runs large online surveys, often used by researchers to measure public attitudes to AI.

YouGov is a market research and polling company founded in the UK in 2000. It works mainly through a standing online panel of volunteers, from which it draws samples weighted to match a country’s population on age, gender, education and other characteristics.

That model makes it a common choice for researchers who want a quick national picture, including on AI. It also carries a caveat worth remembering when you read the results: panel members chose to sign up, so they are not a purely random sample of the public. A 2026 survey of 1,250 US workers commissioned through YouGov found that only about 3 percent said they had lost a job to AI since 2023.
