ZCode
Z.ai's low-cost coding agent, undercutting Western rivals on price.
ZCode is the coding agent from Chinese AI company Z.ai, built on its GLM models. It does the same job as tools like Codex or Claude Code, writing and fixing software from plain-language instructions, at a fraction of the usual price.
ZCode is worth knowing as a price signal: capable AI coding help is rapidly becoming cheap, which changes who can afford to build software.
