Common Sense Media

A US non-profit that rates media and technology for children and publishes AI safety reviews.

Common Sense Media is a non-profit that reviews films, apps and games for families and tells parents what is appropriate for which age. In recent years it has added a unit, the Youth AI Safety Institute, that tests chatbots for risks to children and teenagers.

Its ratings get a lot of attention from parents and lawmakers. As with any reviewer, it helps to read how a test was run and who funds it, and the group publishes that information.
