Deutsche Telekom

Deutsche Telekom is the biggest telecommunications company in Germany. Beyond phone and internet service it provides cloud infrastructure, and it lent that infrastructure to train Soofi S, a fully open German AI model.

Its involvement is part of a European push for sovereign AI: the idea that the continent should be able to build and run capable models on its own soil and hardware rather than depending entirely on US providers.
