Soofi S
A fully open German AI model, trained in Munich on European infrastructure.
Soofi S is a 30-billion-parameter model from a German research consortium, trained entirely in Munich on Deutsche Telekom’s cloud. It leads fully open rivals on German and English benchmarks, which is unusual for a European release.
Its real significance is as a demonstration of sovereign AI: proof that a capable model can be built and hosted inside Europe, on European hardware, without depending on a US or Chinese provider.
