Gemini 3.8 Flash
Google's general-purpose Gemini model released in September 2026, priced the same as its predecessor, with a separate Cyber variant for vetted security defenders.
Gemini 3.8 Flash arrived on 2 September 2026 at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output, an introductory rate that doubles on 1 January 2027. Google positions it as the everyday workhorse, with the main gains in coding, agentic work and long multi-step reasoning. One honest caveat from Google’s own announcement: it tends to spend more tokens than 3.7 Flash because it reasons harder, so it is not automatically cheaper per job.
Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber is the same underlying intelligence tuned for finding and patching software vulnerabilities. It is not generally available and is handed out through the Fairwind Program.
