AI Mode
Google Search's conversational mode that answers instead of listing links.
AI Mode is Google’s conversational version of Search: you ask in plain language, it answers directly, remembers the conversation, and increasingly handles tasks like finding recipes or planning purchases inside the answer itself.
It matters because it changes the deal of the web: when the answer appears on Google itself, fewer people click through to the sites that produced the information, a shift publishers and regulators are watching closely.
