inclusionAI is the AI research group inside Ant Group, the Chinese fintech company behind Alipay. It is best known for the Ling family of models, which it releases as open weights under the MIT licence, meaning anyone can download them, run them on their own hardware, and use them commercially.

Its focus is on models that punch above their size: strong scores from relatively few active parameters, which translates directly into lower cost per answer. That makes it one of several Chinese labs currently keeping the pressure on the expensive closed models from the US.
