Azure

Microsoft's cloud platform, one of the main places AI models are run.

Azure is Microsoft’s cloud service: rented computers, storage and tools that companies use instead of running their own data centres. It is one of the big three clouds alongside Amazon’s AWS and Google Cloud.

It matters for AI because much of the industry, including OpenAI’s models, runs on this kind of rented infrastructure. When a company says it uses AI in the cloud, Azure is often where that computing actually happens.
