Amazon
The e-commerce and cloud giant; its AWS cloud hosts much of the AI industry.
Amazon is best known for shopping, but in AI its real weight sits in Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud platform on which many AI companies rent their computing power. Amazon also builds its own models and is a major investor in Anthropic.
When AI news mentions Amazon, it is usually about infrastructure: who pays whom for the enormous computing behind modern models.
