Mira Murati
Former OpenAI chief technology officer, now running her own open-model lab.
Mira Murati oversaw the development of ChatGPT and the GPT models as OpenAI’s chief technology officer, before leaving to found Thinking Machines Lab.
Her new direction is the interesting part. Having helped build the most famous closed models in the world, she now releases models openly, weights and all, which says something about where she thinks the value in AI is moving.
