ModelScope

ModelScope is where Chinese labs put their open models for anyone to download. It works much like Hugging Face: each model gets a page with the files, a description of how it was trained, the licence terms, and usually some code showing how to run it.

It exists partly for practical reasons, since downloading many gigabytes from a Western server is slow inside China, and partly for strategic ones, since a country building its own open model ecosystem prefers to host it at home. Most big Chinese releases now appear on both platforms at once, so you rarely have to choose.
