An AI music generator that turns a written description into a finished song.
Suno makes complete music from a text prompt: vocals, instruments, structure and all. It became one of the most widely used creative AI tools, and one of the most contested, because generating a song in a recognisable style raises immediate questions about the recordings the model learned from.
The company is defending itself against copyright claims from major music labels, arguing that training on protected works is fair use. A 2026 breach of its systems put its training sources on the public record, which made an already difficult legal position considerably more concrete.
