Timestral
Mistral's family of small models that forecast numbers over time, such as demand or energy use, and run on an ordinary CPU.
Timestral is a set of forecasting models from the French AI lab Mistral. Instead of writing text like a chatbot, it looks at a history of numbers, say a shop’s daily sales or a building’s power use, and predicts what comes next, including a range of likely outcomes rather than a single guess.
The models are small, from 5 million to 209 million parameters, so they can run on a normal processor without a graphics card. That makes them practical for companies that want to keep their data on their own machines.
