Unitree

A Chinese robotics maker known for cheap four-legged robots and attention-grabbing humanoids.

Unitree Robotics, based in Hangzhou, made its name by selling four-legged robot dogs at a fraction of what Western competitors charged, then moved into humanoids. Its machines turn up constantly in viral videos doing backflips, kung fu and, in August 2026, allegedly sprinting faster than Usain Bolt.

Treat the demos with care. Unitree publishes striking numbers but rarely test methodology or third-party verification, and several of its headline machines are research platforms rather than products you can buy. The company listed on Shanghai’s STAR Market in August 2026 after a record oversubscription.
