Agentic AI Foundation
A neutral non-profit under the Linux Foundation that hosts shared standards for AI agents, such as MCP and Agent Skills.
The Agentic AI Foundation, or AAIF, is a neutral home for open standards that AI agents rely on. It operates under the Linux Foundation and was co-founded by Anthropic, Block and OpenAI.
The idea is that no single company should control the plumbing everyone builds on. Anthropic has donated the Model Context Protocol (MCP) there, and in October 2026 it announced it would donate the Agent Skills standard too.
