Siri AI
Apple's rebuilt assistant, released with iOS 27 in September 2026, able to act on your own mail, calendar and screen contents.
Siri AI is the generative rebuild of Apple’s voice assistant, shipped with iOS 27 on 14 September 2026 after roughly two years of delays. Unlike the old Siri, which matched your words against a list of things it knew how to do, Siri AI is built on large language models, developed with Google and Nvidia, and is meant to handle requests with several steps while drawing on your own messages, calendar, files and whatever is on screen.
At launch it requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, an English device language, and in some cases a place on a waitlist. It is not available in the European Union, where Apple has delayed it over compliance work tied to the Digital Markets Act, with no date announced. Early reviews describe it as capable but prone to the usual confident mistakes with names, dates and time zones.
