World Labs
A US startup co-founded by Fei-Fei Li that builds AI models which understand three dimensional space rather than flat images.
World Labs was founded in 2024 with a single bet: that the next useful thing an AI can learn is not more text but where things are. Its models take photographs and work out the geometry of the scene behind them, so you can move a camera through a room nobody filmed from that angle. The company calls this spatial intelligence.
It raised a billion dollars in February 2026 from Autodesk, Andreessen Horowitz, Nvidia, and AMD. Its products so far are Marble, which turns photos into explorable scenes, and Atlas, a larger model that also generates 3D data and simulated environments for training robots.
