Gemini
Google's family of AI models, spanning fast lightweight versions to advanced ones.
Gemini is the family of AI models built by Google DeepMind and offered across Google’s products. It ranges from small, fast versions designed for quick everyday tasks to larger models aimed at complex reasoning.
The lighter “Flash” versions are built for speed and low cost, and Google has extended them with abilities like operating a computer, seeing a screen and clicking on the user’s behalf, a step toward practical AI agents. Gemini also reaches an enormous audience through Google Search, Android and Workspace.
As one of the main rivals to ChatGPT and Claude, Gemini is a key model to know, both for its capabilities and for how deeply it is woven into tools people already use.
